The main event

WOW! Coaching has never been easier.

Load your logger file. KartBrain tells you what you're doing wrong, corner by corner, in plain steps you can read out to your driver, or to yourself. Quick. Easy. Simple enough to hand to a kid.

1 · Next steps

Tells you exactly what to fix, and what to leave alone.

Every step names the corner, the speed to carry, and the one change to try. Read it to your driver in the paddock and they know what to do on the next lap.

  • Names the corner, like T3 or T7, so you can find it on the map
  • Gives the speed to hit, taken from your own best laps
  • Says which corners are done, so nobody over-fixes them
  • Asks for tyre photos when the file alone can't settle it
Start free — 7 days of Unlimited

2 · Where to find more speed

Start at the top. It's time you've already driven.

Corners ranked by the seconds you left behind compared with your own best pass, plus a gear check from the same file. Pick the first one and go.

3 · Corner map

See which corners to focus on, and in what order.

Right is faster. Up is less consistent. Red is work on this, green is done. In five seconds you can tell your driver, or read for yourself, where to put the next practice.

What it does

Three tools that work off your own data

One account covers the data workspace, the LO206 tools, and a setup book the coach can read. Every number comes from your file, your sheet, or the air at the track.

Data

Your laps, corner by corner

  • Gain Plan ranks the corners that cost the most time and sets a next-lap target from the biggest three.
  • Entry, apex, and exit for every corner, against your best lap, the virtual best, or another session.
  • Rev Range, Clutch Slip, and dyno-based power on the lap, so a gear change is a direction, not a guess.

LO206

Jetting for the air you're in

  • Main jet, clip, float, and air-bleed for today's weather, with the reason behind each one.
  • Weather from a ZIP code, or typed in from the station in your hand.
  • Pilot jet and plug stay inside the Briggs rules. Every result is saved so you can reopen it.

Setup book

It knows your kart

  • Photograph a paper sheet or type it once. Hide every field you don't use.
  • Setup compare shows only what changed, so a faster lap is tied to the change you made.
  • The coach remembers your chassis, engine, and class, and every reply shows exactly what it used.

Data charts

The charts, full size

The charts below are a separate example from the Buttonwillow session in the hero (best lap 59.398). They are the real Data workspace on KartBrain's built-in sample at KartBrain Sample Raceway, where lap 8 is the fastest at 43.984, drawn the same way as your own laps. Pick a category, then tap any chart to see it full screen.

Works with MyChron 5 & 6 and Alfano 6 & 7 on every plan.

KartBrain Sample Raceway, a separate session from the Buttonwillow figures (best lap 59.398). Fastest lap here is 43.984. These are the corners worth the most time, and the lap that already did them better.

Gain Plan

Ranks the corners with the most free time and sets a next-lap target from the biggest three. Each one shows the speed trace from your own lap that did it better, and what to change.

Compare

Any two laps side by side. The time gap climbs exactly where one lap loses, and the biggest loss and gain are named by corner.

See whether a run is getting faster, and how much of the ideal lap you have already driven.

Pace Trend

Every flying lap in order with a trend line, so tyre warm-up and fading pace show at a glance. This sample run gets 0.128 s a lap faster.

Sector Grid

Every lap split into sectors, with the best of each lit up. Put the best sectors together and you see time you have already driven: 0.024 s here.

The raw channels, laid out so you can read them without Race Studio open.

Traces

Speed, RPM, and the time gap to your best lap on one distance axis with every corner marked. Hover anywhere to read all of them at that spot.

Track map

Your GPS line coloured by speed, with corners and sectors labelled, so every number on the other charts has a place on the track.

How well each corner is driven, and how much of the tyre you are really using.

Corner Radar

Every corner scored out of 100 in one shape, so your strongest and weakest corners stand out before you read a single number.

Grip Circle

Cornering against braking and acceleration for the whole lap. A fuller circle means more of the tyre is working; this lap peaks at 1.61 g.

Where the engine lives on the lap, and whether the gearing suits the track.

Rev Range

Shows the RPM band the engine uses across the lap, from 3,201 at the slowest corner to a 6,003 peak, and reads whether the gearing fits.

Power (Plus and Unlimited) estimates horsepower along your lap from a proprietary dyno curve, so a gearing or jetting change shows up where it matters.

AI training data

Every engine program is trained on proprietary data direct from top engine builders in that field.

KartBrain's coach answers from a separate knowledge collection for each engine program: 20 programs, each with its own library, so a KA100 racer never gets LO206 notes. The IAME, LO206, Clone, and Animal training manuals are gigantic.

Engine tools

Jetting and gearing, from real engine data

Two tools for the questions racers argue about in the pits, each with the reason behind every number and a short list of where to find more speed.

LO206 Jetting

LO206 jetting, worked out for today's air

Tell it your slide and fuel once. It reads the weather at the track, works out the air density, and sets the main jet, needle clip, float height, and air-bleed. Every number comes with the reason behind it.

  1. 1

    Engine

Slide colour, octane, ethanol, and your own calibration nudge. Saved, so next time it's one tap.

  2. 2

    Weather

Temperature, humidity, and pressure from a ZIP code, or typed in from the station in your hand. Density altitude is worked out for you.

  3. 3

    Result

Fat, Stock, or Skinny 95, the clip position, float height, and air-bleed turns, with a confidence level and the reason for each.

  • Pilot jet and spark plug stay inside the Briggs rules
  • A carb-ice warning when the air is cool and damp
  • Where to find more speed: float, plug read, and when to re-check
  • Every result saved to history so you can reopen it

Optimal GearNew

The right axle sprocket, from real dyno data

Optimal Gear is built from real dyno data from top engine builders. It runs your engine's curve through your sprockets, tire, race weight, and track, and picks the axle sprocket that keeps the engine in its power band.

  • From your track: top speed at the end of the longest straight and your slowest corner
  • Or from your logger file: time on the limiter, corner-exit RPM, and clutch slip on your best lap
  • For the LO206, it gears you to the right limiter time for your slide, whether you race alone or in a drafting pack
  • The RPM range for your gear and two teeth either side, with the pick highlighted
  • Plain-language reasons and a confidence level. The dyno curve stays on our server
  • No curve for your class yet? It falls back to rev-limiter physics and says so
Optimal Gear picks the axle sprocket and shows the RPM for each option

Coach

Ask KartBrain where your next tenth is

Every tool ends with what to try next, and one tap hands it to the coach with your numbers attached. It asks one question first (qualifying or race pace, which track, which class), then gives you a list in the order worth trying.

Start free — 7 days of Unlimited
  • “Where's my next tenth at my home track?”
  • “Should I go up or down a tooth for Saturday?”
  • “My laps spread half a second. What do I fix first?”
  • “Jetting says Fat 95 today. What else should I change?”

How it works

Three steps to your next tenth

  1. 1

    Tell it about your kart

Chassis, engine, class, series, and home track, in one pass. A driver under 13 signs up through a parent or guardian.

  2. 2

    Bring in a session

Import a MyChron (Race Studio) or Alfano file, or photograph a screen you already have: split times, a time/distance graph, or the spark plug.

  3. 3

Fix one corner, try one change

Quick Read names the corner to fix first. Save the setup you try as a new sheet, so the next session shows whether it worked.

FAQ

Questions racers ask

Which data loggers work?

MyChron 5 & 6 and Alfano 6 & 7, on every plan including Free. MyChron files come from Race Studio 3 (XRK or CSV) and Alfano files from the Alfano software's CSV export. An XRK file is converted on your phone or computer before it uploads. No file handy? Photograph the Race Studio split-times or time/distance screen instead.

Do I need a MyChron?

No. The setup book, session log, LO206 jetting helper, spark plug reader, and the coach all work without a logger. A logger file adds the Data workspace for your own laps.

Is my data private?

Your setups, sessions, and files are only visible to you unless you share a link. Using your content to improve KartBrain stays off unless you turn it on.

Read the Privacy Policy
Does it work for 2-stroke engines?

Yes. The coach and the setup book cover two-stroke and four-stroke karts, and every engine in the training-data list has its own knowledge collection, from KA100 and X30 to Rotax, ROK, and KZ shifters. The jetting helper and dyno-based power are built for the LO206.

What's the difference between Plus and Unlimited?

Plus comes with allowances: 4 logger files a month, 30 coach replies a day, and 10 photo reads a month. Unlimited removes them, under fair use. Both include Power and PDF reports, and neither shows ads.

Can I cancel?

Yes, anytime, from the billing page in your account. A paid plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the account moves to Free. Your setups, sessions, and tracks stay. The 7-day Unlimited trial needs no card and simply ends.

Does the AI make up numbers?

Lap times, corner deltas, and channel stats come from your file. The coach is not allowed to invent jetting, gearing, or a lap time. A number that is not in the file or in your question was not measured.

Can my team use it?

Each driver has their own account, and a weekend schedule can be shared with the whole group as a link. Teams that want their own domain and apps, rental seats, and no KartBrain name can get a white-label quote.
